Guess Who's Going To Dinner?

Me! (And on a school night, too.)

Jon was a bit scathing when I bought this dress back from a charity shop spree in town last week. "Blimey, off to dinner with the mayor, are you?" I think his exact words were.

No chance of any hob-nobbing with the local dignitaries but we do have a dinner date this evening with our equally posh pals, Liz and Adrian.

By day a respectable solicitor and art teacher, by night something far more worrying.

The dress was £2.95 and labelled "Robert Newman W1". My usual source of vintage label information has drawn a blank. Unless he morphed into Rob Newman, alternative comedian, author and former member of the Mary Whitehouse Experience, it appears this Mr Newman disappeared back in the 1970's.

We're hosting our own dinner party on Saturday night. We've no idea what we're going to serve our six guests but I've got a suitably swanky frock lined up for the occasion.

My favourite TopShop shoes with Barry M's "Spring Green" nail varnish, four days on and not a chip in sight.

Bon Appetit!

  11. I adore that colour! Enjoy the dinner party.

I am also a Barry M obsessive, it is the best. I'm currently sporting Coral but may swap it for a baby blue shade later. I had white and black stripes on my toes for Fulham's (lucky) semi final and (unlucky) final courtesy of Barry M. I tried to get the boys done as well but they were having none of it, so I blame them for our eventual defeat.
